Norwegian Jade and Norwegian Gem debut new guest spaces following refurbishment

Norwegian Cruise Line has introduced new guest venues aboard Norwegian Jade and Norwegian Gem.

The enhancements include the debut of the adults-only Vibe Beach Club on both ships, expanded wellness facilities within the Mandara Spa and Salon, and new onboard amenities as Norwegian Cruise Line continues investing in fleet-wide product consistency.

The refurbishments see Norwegian Jade and Norwegian Gem receive a number of guest-favourite concepts already available on newer vessels across the fleet, alongside redesigned wellness spaces based on passenger feedback.

Vibe Beach Club

“Listening to our guests and delivering exceptional experiences across our fleet is at the heart of what we do,” said Marc Kazlauskas, President, Norwegian Cruise Line.

“These recent transformations bring some of our most beloved amenities to Norwegian Jade and Norwegian Gem, creating greater consistency across our fleet while giving guests more ways to personalise their holiday — from adults-only outdoor spaces to serene relaxation areas designed to help them unwind at sea,” he added.

Among the most significant additions is the introduction of the adults-only Vibe Beach Club on both vessels. Located on Deck 14, the outdoor venue replaces the existing sundeck and features panoramic ocean views, a private full-service bar, more than 50 premium loungers, an additional hot tub, and seven private cabanas available to guests.

The line has also completed a major redesign of the Thermal Suite within the Mandara Spa and Salon aboard both ships.

The refurbished wellness area now includes three times as many heated tile loungers as before, together with upgraded steam rooms, saunas, and a redesigned reception area. New facilities introduced across the two ships include charcoal saunas, salt rooms, ice rooms, IV lounges, and four-senses loungers designed to expand the spa experience.

Additional features vary between the two vessels.

On Norwegian Jade, guests will also find new experiential showers featuring multiple water jets and lighting effects, together with a plunge pool designed for cold-water immersion.

Meanwhile, Norwegian Gem has received an upgraded hot tub and a refreshed thalassotherapy pool equipped with massage jets, bubble loungers, and counter-current features.

The refurbishment also brings a licensed Starbucks outlet to Norwegian Jade, completing Norwegian Cruise Line’s rollout of the coffee brand across its fleet and private destinations.

The upgrades come as both ships continue operating in key international markets during the 2026 season.

Through late summer, Norwegian Jade is deployed in Alaska on seven-day cruises between Vancouver and Whittier (Anchorage), with itineraries featuring scenic cruising through the Inside Passage and visits to ports including Ketchikan, Juneau, Skagway, and Icy Strait Point.

At the same time, Norwegian Gem is sailing a series of Mediterranean and Greek Isles itineraries from Civitavecchia and Ravenna, calling at destinations including Cannes, Livorno, Split, Dubrovnik, and several Greek islands.

Later in the year, Norwegian Gem will reposition to Tampa for Caribbean and Bahamas cruises, while Norwegian Jade will return to Asia for a programme of regional sailings.

The latest refurbishments form part of Norwegian Cruise Line’s ongoing investment in enhancing guest facilities across its fleet while introducing consistent onboard experiences regardless of ship or deployment.
