TUI Cruises redeploys Mein Schiff Flow to Europe, cancelling 2026/27 Middle East season

TUI Cruises has confirmed that its newbuild Mein Schiff Flow will be redeployed to Northern Europe for the winter 2026/27 season, cancelling previously planned itineraries in the Middle East.

The vessel, currently under construction at the Fincantieri shipyard in Italy, is scheduled to enter service following an inaugural season in the Mediterranean.

It had originally been expected to operate a series of winter cruises from the Arabian Gulf, with seven-night sailings planned between November 2026 and March 2027 from Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Doha.

Those plans have now been withdrawn, with the ship instead repositioned to Hamburg in October 2026 ahead of a Northern Europe deployment.

The decision comes amid broader uncertainty surrounding cruise operations in the region, with several operators reassessing Arabian Gulf itineraries for the 2026/27 season amid ongoing tensions between the US and Iran.

From Hamburg, Mein Schiff Flow will begin a programme of voyages across Northern Europe, including sailings in the Baltic and Norway. The ship is scheduled to call at Kiel and operate Baltic Sea itineraries from early November, before heading further north for winter voyages along the Norwegian coast.

In mid-December, the vessel is due to return to Hamburg before commencing a series of Western Europe and Norway sailings. These include Christmas and New Year itineraries, with one 11-night voyage departing Hamburg on December 23rd, 2026, and sailing as far as Lisbon.

Longer itineraries are also planned, including a 20-day roundtrip from Hamburg to the Canary Islands. Shorter cruises form part of the deployment as well, with a seven-night Baltic itinerary from Kiel between November 1st and November 8th, 2026.

“Mein Schiff Flow’s new journeys are targeted at both cruise lovers and those new to cruising,” said a spokesperson, adding that the programme includes “winter experiences in Norway, sunny destinations in the south, as well as various short trips.”

Bookings for the revised programme are set to open at the end of April.

Mein Schiff Flow will be one of the largest ships in the TUI Cruises fleet, with a gross tonnage of approximately 161,000. It will be a sister ship to Mein Schiff Relax, which entered service in 2025, and will form part of a new generation of LNG-capable vessels for the brand.

The ships feature dual-fuel engines capable of operating on liquefied natural gas and marine gas oil, alongside enhanced catalytic converters and shore power connectivity, enabling engines to be switched off while in port.

New onboard features are expected to include a suites-only sun deck and lounge, reflecting a continued focus on differentiated accommodation and onboard space.
