Cape Town and other African ports featured in 2027/28 Regent Seven Seas voyages

Regent Seven Seas Cruises will return to Cape Town in 2028 as part of its newly announced Grand Voyages collection.

The Grand Southern Seas Sojourn, a 69-night itinerary aboard Seven Seas Mariner, will depart Sydney on February 19th, 2028, and conclude in Cape Town.

The sailing includes calls in New Zealand, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, and Madagascar, with overnight stays in Bali, Singapore, Port Elizabeth, and Cape Town.

Other African destinations also feature in the Grand Mediterranean Odyssey, which includes a call in Alexandria, Egypt, and the Grand South America Mosaic, which rounds Cape Horn and sails along the Atlantic coast before crossing to the Antarctic Peninsula.

The 2027–2028 season also sees the launch of Regent’s Legends of the Pacific, a 133-night World Cruise aboard Seven Seas Splendor. All itineraries will open for booking on May 7th, 2025, with pre-registration available from April 23th.

The five Grand Voyages range from 61 to 92 nights and span six continents:

Grand Arctic Expedition (92 nights, Seven Seas Mariner): New York to Southampton, departing April 29, 2027. Includes an overnight in Bordeaux and a call at Hamina, Finland.

Grand Mediterranean Odyssey (82 nights, Seven Seas Mariner): Southampton to Athens, departing July 30, 2027, with overnights in Bordeaux, Istanbul, and Alexandria.

Grand European Discovery (174 nights): A combination of the two above voyages.

Grand Asia Escape (61 nights, Seven Seas Explorer): Hong Kong to Tokyo, departing January 5, 2028. Features overnights in Shanghai and calls at new ports including Probolinggo, Yesou, and Tokushima.

Grand South America Mosaic (65 nights, Seven Seas Voyager): Roundtrip from Miami, departing January 13, 2028, transiting the Panama Canal, rounding Cape Horn, and visiting the Amazon River and San Andrés, Colombia.

“It’s evident that luxury travellers are placing more value on their time than ever before, seeking out exhilarating and bucket list destinations on long, lingering voyages that discover contrasting cultures, compelling histories, and tantalising cuisines,” said Jason Montague, Chief Luxury Officer for Regent Seven Seas Cruises.

“Guests will explore the world in ultra luxury, with our crew providing the highest possible standards of service throughout spacious, lavishly designed restaurants, lounges, and suites,” he added.

The Namib Desert

The Legends of the Pacific World Cruise departs Los Angeles on January 5th, 2028, for a 133-night sailing visiting 74 ports across 18 countries. The itinerary includes Hawaii, the South Pacific, New Zealand, Australia, Southeast Asia, East Asia, Alaska, and ends in San Francisco.

The voyage features 33 UNESCO World Heritage Sites, 6 overnight stays, and 3 ports new to Regent: Alofi (Niue), Vava’u (Tonga), and Port Denarau (Fiji).

All sailings include Regent’s standard inclusions, along with additional benefits for Grand Voyage guests such as pre-cruise hotel stays, mid-cruise events, valet laundry, phone time, commemorative gifts, and shipboard credit for visa costs.
