Carnival Vista emerges from her first major refit and refurbishment with new venues and features

Carnival Vista has completed a 30-day drydock in which she received several enhancements during the first major refurbishment for the ship.

Carnival Vista, the class leader of Carnival Corp’s Vista class, underwent several enhancements during the refit, including the addition of Carnival Cruise Line’s new signature hull livery.

The ship, which was delivered in 2016, also got a new Heroes Tribute Bar & Lounge, new retail stores, a teen club and an expanded casino, along with new soft furnishings in several public rooms.

The Heroes Tribute Bar & Lounge honors military veterans and active-duty service members and was first introduced by the cruise line aboard Vista’s sistership Carnival Panorama in 2019.

It has since been rolled out across the fleet, with Carnival Vista the latest ship to be retrofitted with the venue.

Additionally, the casino was expanded with a new layout and a separate non-smoking annex, but still features free drinks, state-of-the-art slot machines and a range of games tables, while a new Effy Jewelry store was added to the retail area, which already featured eight different boutiques.

Cherry on Top, Carnival’s well-stocked candy-and-more-store featuring confectionery favorites and apparel gifts, is also now available aboard Carnival Vista in the retail area.

A new Club O2 for teens has also been created in a new location while the Lido Marketplace received a makeover, with the ship’s arcade also relocated and redone as well.

The 4,000-guest Carnival Vista will now resume year-round sailing from Port Canaveral, offering mostly 6- and 8-day itineraries that feature popular destinations, including Half Moon Cay, Bahamas; Grand Turk, Turks & Caicos; Aruba; San Juan, Puerto Rico; St. Maarten and St. Thomas.

Carnival Vista features 28 dining experiences and venues, along with 25 activities and features included in the fare (such as the SkyRide, Adults Only Retreat, Ropes Course, Comedy Club and more) along with 24 paid-for experiences (such as the Cloud 9 Spa, IMAX Cinema and several bars).

The vessel is part of Carnival’s four-ship deployment in Central Florida, which is also home to Carnival Freedom, Carnival Liberty and Mardi Gras.
