Carrying just 197 guests, La Belle de l’Adriatique is a small, boutique cruise ship known for personalised service and unique cruise itineraries.

Her season in Egypt will be no different, with ports of call tailored around history and cultural enrichment.

Each 8-day itinerary will call in Aqaba, Jordan, and the Egyptian ports of Sharm El Sheikh and Safaga.

Wadi Rum in Aqaba, Jordan

Aqaba is the gateway to the ancient city of Petra. Dating to around 300 B.C., it was the capital of the Nabatean Kingdom and is only accessible via a narrow canyon called Al Siq. It contains tombs and temples carved into pink sandstone cliffs, earning its nickname, the “Rose City.”

Another highlight of Aqaba is Wadi Rum also known as the Valley of the Moon, a valley cut into the sandstone and granite rock in southern Jordan.

Sharm El Sheikh is an Egyptian resort town known for its sheltered sandy beaches, clear waters and coral reefs, as well as the spectacular Ras Muhammad National Park, while the city of Safaga is the gateway to Egypt’s iconic Luxor, home to the Valley of the Kings, one of the most astounding spots in Upper Egypt.

Hurghada, where the cruises begin and end, is a beach resort town in Egypt. It’s bustling with restaurants, bars and nightclubs, but in the old town, El Dahar, passengers will find traditional Egyptian coffee shops and souks.

CroisiEurope will offer a selection of onboard lectures including The Natural Wonders of the Red Sea; Following in the Footsteps of Lawrence of Arabia; and Petra or the Secrets of the Nabatean Kingdom during each cruise.

Onboard entertainment including a performance of Egyptian dancing and music.

This is CroisiEurope’s first Egyptian cruise season and comes amid a boom in cruise ships homeporting in the Red Sea for the 2021/22 winter. MSC Cruises is homeporting in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia and sailing roundtrip in the Red Sea, while Scenic Eclipse has been sailing in the Red Sea from Jeddah since July.
