Long Beach-based Carnival Panorama to feature first SkyZone trampoline park at sea

Carnival Cruise Line’s new Vista-class ship Carnival Panorama will debut the world’ first SkyZone trampoline park at sea when she enters service in December, 2019.

The 3,000sqft SkyZone aboard Panorama will have separate entertainment zones like the land-based facilities.

The cruise line made the announcement alongside its confirmation to participate in the 130th Rose Bowl Parade, on January 1, 2019 in Pasadena, California, where it will show off a floral replica of Carnival Panorama with a red and blue funnel (Carnival’s most notable feature), a water park and a trampoline.

Carnival will also host a Lido Deck Party for parade attendees.

Carnival Panorama is the cruise line’s third Vista-class cruise ship.

The trampoline park aboard Panorama will be located on Decks 6 and 7, taking the space occupied by the IMAX Theatre aboard sister ships Carnival Vista and Carnival Horizon.

The 3,000 square foot park will include a 12-lane trampoline court as well as an adjacent recreational area with a climbing wall, balance/jousting beam, Sky Ladder climbing apparatus and Tug of War.

There will also be fitness classes on offer for all levels (on top of those offered in the fitness centre) and special activities for families and children, as well as dodgeball and basketball games.

At night, the park will host blacklight glow parties involving ultra-violet lights and multi-coloured clothing and accessories.

“As a Los Angeles-based company, being a part of the Rose Parade is a truly unique and unforgettable way to announce our first SkyZone at sea, which will provide guests of all ages an opportunity to experience ‘wall to wall aerial action’ aboard the amazing new Carnival Panorama,” said Jeff Platt, SkyZone’s president.

More of Carnival Panorama’s own unique features will be announced in the coming months. Sharing an identical design to Vista and Horizon, she will have many of the same popular attractions found across the Vista class.

The 133,500-gross ton, 4,000-passenger ship will officially debut on December 11th, 2019. She will sail seven-night roundtrip cruises from Long Beach to the Mexican Riviera, visiting Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlan and Puerto Vallarta.

Carnival Panorama will enter service in December, 2019.

While the trampoline attraction aboard Panorama will be the first SkyZone trampoline park at sea, other cruise ships already offer their own take on trampoline recreational activities.

Royal Caribbean‘s Enchantment of the Seas has four bungee trampolines, while the SkyPad virtual reality bungee trampoline experience has been introduced aboard Mariner of the Seas and Independence of the Seas.

It will also feature aboard the up-coming Spectrum of the Seas, which will cruise from Dubai in April next year on her way to Asia.
