New Sky Suites aboard Sky Princess will have largest balconies in the fleet

Princess Cruises has unveiled new details about its upcoming flagship Sky Princess, including a first-look at the all-new Sky Suites, with the largest balconies ever aboard a Princess Cruises ship.

The Sky Suites will be centrally located on the top decks of the ship, with 700 sq ft balconies with a private view of the cruise line’s Movie Under the Stars.

Sky Princess is fourth Royal-class cruise ship for Princess Cruises, due in 2019.

Both suites will also have 270-degree panoramic views and a capacity for up to five guests.

“Our two new Sky Suites reflect Princess Cruises’ continued commitment to offer new and expansive accommodations that meet the needs of our guests who wish to explore the world in ultimate comfort,” says Jan Swartz, President of Princess Cruises.

The Sky Suites will feature 700 sq ft balconies.

The Sky Suites are the latest innovations to be announced for Sky Princess. The ship will also feature a Wakeview pool on its aft decks, as well as two new deep-tank top deck pools, a restorative Retreat Pool, and more Jacuzzis than previous Royal-Class ships.

Two of these Jacuzzis will be cantilevered over the deep-tank pools.

Princess Cruises signature Sanctuary area will offer a new contemporary design aboard Sky Princess and twice as many private cabanas as its sister ships.

The pool deck area aboard Sky Princess will differ from other Royal-class ships.

Guests will also be able to enjoy the new look of the ship’s Vista Lounge complete with a full bar offering, an evolution of the popular lounge on other Princess ships.

Guests can take advantage of a new café in the Princess Live venue, serving barista made coffee, tea and quick bites.

Sky Princess will sail her maiden cruise season in the Mediterranean in October, 2019, before crossing the Atlantic to sail 7 and 14-night roundtrip Caribbean cruises from Fort Lauderdale in December. Sky Princess will homeport in Fort Lauderdale until at least March, 2020.

At 143,700-gross tons she will be a sister ship to Royal Princess, Regal Princess and Majestic Princess. She is one of three additional Royal-class cruise ships ordered by Princess Cruises, due in 2019, 2020 and 2022.

Princess Cruises has also ordered two larger LNG-powered cruise ships at 175,000-gross tons each, which are due for delivery in 2023 and 2025.
