AIDA Cruises adds more Dubai cruise departures for 2019, this time aboard AIDAvita

The German cruise line AIDA Cruises has added two more Dubai cruises to its 2019 line-up, with AIDAvita cruising twice from the city alongside AIDAprima, which is spending an entire season in the Arabian Gulf.

AIDAvita will cruise from Dubai on March 31^st on a 16-night cruise to Iraklion in Greece, and again on October 28^th on a 20-night cruise from Dubai to Singapore.

Both cruise itineraries are repositioning cruises as AIDAvita transitions between her summer cruise season in Europe and North America and her winter cruise season in Asia, cruising roundtrip from Singapore and Hong Kong.

AIDAvita’s first Dubai cruise of the year on March 31^st is best for the German cruise passenger that loves open seas and long stretches of sea days.

The run between Dubai and the Mediterranean for cruise ships is a port-lean itinerary.

AIDAvita for example will cruise from Dubai and visit many of the charming cruise ports of the Arabian Gulf, such as Khasab and Salalah in Oman, but then won’t enter port again for five days until she arrives in Aqaba, Jordan.

AIDAvita will stay overnight in Aqaba, as well as Suez, before making a day-long port call to Haifa, Israel ahead of her arrival in Iraklion, Greece. The first day of the cruise in Dubai will also be spent overnight at the Dubai Cruise Terminal.

AIDAvita’s second Dubai cruise of 2019, departing October 28^th, is a far more engaging itinerary. At 20-nights from Dubai to Singapore, it is six days longer than the average length of most cruises between Dubai and Asia.

This is because AIDAvita will visit The Maldives, and spend a night in port in Male, which most other Dubai to Singapore cruises miss out.

From Dubai she’ll cruise to Muscat in Oman, before crossing the Indian Ocean to hop along the Indian coast, visiting Mormugao (Goa), Mangalore and Cochin.

AIDAvita will then spend two days at sea as she cruises for The Maldives. She’ll spend another two days at sea bound for Colombo, Sri Lanka and will also visit Langkawi and Klang (Kuala Lumpur) in Malaysia, before arriving in Singapore.

In Dubai, Male and Singapore, AIDAvita will stay overnight in port, making these three port calls the best for extended exploring by passengers.
