Dubai Shore Excursions: Dubai cruise visitors could enjoy most ‘instagrammable bar’

Cruise Arabia & Africa has long held that it’s a travesty the major cruise lines visiting the Arabian Gulf don’t add Dubai’s Barasti Beach as a shore excursion. The bar, part of Mina Seyahi Beach Resort & Marina, is on the beach adjacent to a super yacht marina, for goodness sake.

Now Barasti Beach has upped its street cred in the ‘coolest bar in the Middle East’ rivalry (a purely fictional rivalry that Cruise Arabia & Africa just made up). Its launched a floating bar that departs daily from Barasti and offers truly amazing views of the city’s skyline (a skyline that has been voted among the best in the world).

It’s operating as part of the Sunsets music festival in November, but is already open in advance, which is great for cruise passengers aboard Seabourn Encore (visiting Dubai October 25th) and AIDAstella (visiting November 2nd). Passengers aboard Mein Schiff 1 (calling in Dubai November 4th) may also get to experience it if they book in advance.

The floating bar concept will run from now until November 4th. You can book an hour-long slot in the floating Barasti Beach Bar bar every day from 12pm to 6pm until then.

Located off the coast of Dubai Marina, the experience costs Dhs200 for two, and the price includes a bucket of beers. You head to the regular Barasti Beach Bar on land (at Mina Seyahi Beach Resort & Marina adjacent to Dubai Marina), get your bucket from the bar, and then head over to the floating bar.

Organisers are calling the floating bar “an hour of the most Instagrammable fun in the sun.”

To book your slot, head to Barasti Beach Bar, Le Méridien Mina Seyahi Beach Resort & Marina, Dubai Marina. (Tel: +971 4 318 1313).
